Santana is a serious gangster. He has made many awful things that lead him in the end to be in the prison. Things change when he is released out from jail. He begins a love story and he seems to be a different man. But when he gets a chance to return to his awful past, he quickly goes.

Worth seeing for Olmos' performance alone.

The film's intent to serve as a cautionary tale is admirable, but Olmos acts better than he directs, and the film is shapeless and disjointed. .
