Make it past the sluggish pilot and Vinyl explodes into a kaleidoscopic series with enough addictive drama, believably broken characters, and general funk that it becomes very easy to forget how un-fresh it all is.February 10, 2016
An exciting and completely unique dramedy, with music.September 11, 2016
These ten episodes are a somewhat hellish loop of stylistic motifs, crutches, and tics.February 10, 2016
It's a rock 'n' roll show so good Vinyl literally brings the house down.February 11, 2016
There's barely time to recover as every scene attempts a daring or inventive move of some sort. There aren't many shows you can say that about, which makes "Vinyl," even with its flaws, a success.February 11, 2016
Appointment viewing. A wild look into a world most of us could only dream of. Bobby Cannavale's performance is magnificent.February 11, 2016

Whether the show will be just as memorable as the music the decade produced is something we'll need to wait and watch.September 26, 2016
It takes time for the sharp corners to smooth but it's worth the investment. Cannavale in full flight is a sight to behold.
